Unsuspecting person suddenly sees their cat in a completely different house, loses it, confronts the feline, but he scoffs ands goes back to napping: '[He was] in the window of a house A MILE AWAY???'

Look, we understand that there is a huge debate about whether to let cats outside or not. We know, and everyone comes with their own opinions, but one thing is true no matter what. When you allow your cats to go outside, you have to understand that there are going to be consequences. And we're talking about the 'your cat pawssibly adopting another human' kind of consequences. Because it has happened before. 

Outside cats visit their neighbors all the time, whether you know about it or not. These cats live double lives, and they get double the love and double the snacks. These cats cause drama with their neighbors, and sometimes, only sometimes, these cats steal neighbor's socks, and then you have to deal with the consequences.

  • It looks like you have truly discovered this cat's second home. It happens sometimes, when you let cats out. They realize the power that they have. They realize that they can pretend to be homeless and get double the food and pets from another family.

  • You should 100% send this family a note. It would be hilarious. We want to hear everything about it. We want to know if they knew that they were family number two, or if this kitty managed to bamboozle not one but two sets of hoomans.

    Deadanddugup OP He's a retired farm cat and unfortunately keeping him inside causes immense stress (he literally starts pacing back and forth and biting himself) but most of the time he's safely enclosed in our fenced off garden, and we live in a generally very quiet area. Thank you for your concern though! <3
